Learn About Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Bluetooth Technology is changing the way you use your
devices. It enables you to transfer information from
your PDA to your PC by simply having the two devices
in the same room. You don't need wires and your devices
don't have to be side by side.
But what exactly is it?What is the hype all about?
Bluetooth started out as a wire replacement technology.
Whenever you want two devices to communicate, a wire
is needed. Just look at your mouse, keyboard and printer
- they all require a cable to communicate with your
computer. Not only do they need wires, but they all
need different wires. Imagine if you have a camcorder,
digital camera, scanner and MP3 player.
That's seven different wires altogether. With Bluetooth,
you can have 10 devices, none of them requiring wires,
all of them communicating the same. There are other
technologies that help banish wires. Infrared devices
work well but they require direct line of site. Wireless
keyboards and mice require a receiver to be plugged
into the computer. Bluetooth is designed to be integrated
with a device, and to communicate with other devices
as long as they are within range.
This means you can synchronize your notebook with your
